The C2 Group is pleased to announce the Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids as its 2019 Service Partnership.

C2 began its annual service partnership program three years ago, combining hands-on volunteering and pro bono digital services. While this brought some formality to C2’s community outreach, giving back to the local community has long been a part of C2’s culture. Previously, regular, quarterly volunteer outings rotated between multiple non-profits and local charities, such as Senior Meals on Wheels, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, and more. Moving to annual service partnerships, including work with Guiding Light Mission and IKUS Life Enrichment Services, has allowed C2 team to maximize its impact when giving back locally.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids seeks to enable all young people to reach their full potential as responsible citizens through education, recreation, and positive community experiences – common themes throughout the service partnership. These independently operated local clubs serve more than 4,000 children in Grand Rapids each year, providing mentoring, tutelage, a hot meal, and a safe and healthy environment.

Beginning in Q2 2019, C2 volunteers will work directly and daily with members at each of the Boys & Girls Clubs' three Grand Rapids locations over a two-week period. Volunteers will spend two hours each day assisting with homework and playing in the gym or game rooms during the high-demand, late-afternoon hours.

In Q3, C2 will assist in a half-day cleanup effort at each of the Clubs' three locations.

In Q4, C2 will volunteer to help staff the Clubs' Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas party events.

In Q1 2020, C2 will culminate the partnership with a to-be-determined digital initiative. C2 will work with Boys & Girls Clubs' staff to assess current digital technologies and identify an opportunity to make an improvement, be it to the Boys & Girls Clubs website, social media,data/donor tracking, or another business process.

C2’s service partnerships are open to local, mission-driven,non-profit organizations. Please contact us to learn more.
