After four consecutive years of being recognized as one of West Michigan’s top employers, The C2 Group was recently recognized as a National Best and Brightest company. Of more than 1,700 nominations, C2 is one of just 183 winners from across the country.
The Best and Brightest programs identify, recognize, and celebrate the organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment.
“This award represents C2’s dedication to creating a company culture that puts people first,” C2 Support Services Director Katie Herrick said. “We believe that everything we do as a company, all that we do to support our clients, it all starts with creating an environment where our talented teammates can thrive.”
Since March, much of the C2 team has worked remote, offering both new challenges as well as opportunities as it relates to company culture and engagement.
During that time, Herrick said, C2 has benefited time and time again from a trust-based culture, established remote and flexible work policies, and a recently introduced Employee Assistance Program to maintain business operations, client service, and team health.
The Employee Assistance Program, offered at no expense to C2 employees, offers confidential, around-the-clock services and resources related to mental health, substance abuse, finances, marital assistance, and other personal needs.
"This has been a unique year for everyone,” she said. “We’re constantly taking a pulse of the personal and professional well-being of our employees and how we can best support the team.”
