For the second year in a row, The C2 Group has been recognized as one of West Michigan's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.
The distinction honors companies that demonstrate excellence in human resource management and employee engagement. As employees and coworkers, we spend a great deal of time together each week. It's imperative that we make the most of this time together by creating a workplace that promotes balance and betterment for our team members.
C2 is proud to offer a variety of employee-oriented benefits, ranging from a relaxed dress code to paid parental leave and a robust benefits package. But to appropriately capture what it’s like to work at The C2 Group, we decided to go to the source of the recognition itself – our employees.
Here’s what three newer additions to the C2 team had to say about working for one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For:
Project Strategist Brittany Hinkley joined C2 from another reputable technology company, Google, in August 2017:
“I love how engaged the management and ownership is here. It’s really the foundation of our company culture. The way our owner and leadership team treats employees is unlike any company I’ve worked for. It speaks volumes that (owner) Mike Kunzler and our leadership team take a personal interest in the lives of C2 employees and want to create a place where employees look forward to coming to work every day. Even if you can’t make it into the office, having policies like flexible scheduling is C2’s way of letting its employees know that work isn’t everything and sometimes life gets in the way, and that’s okay.”
Full-Stack Developer Nate Lentz joined the C2 team in February 2018 after having worked for similar digital agencies:
“At The C2 Group, we have an impressive group of creative problem-solvers who really have their clients’ best interests at heart. Our team values a low-ego approach and, whether we’re in a status call or delivering new functionality, we’re devoted to making each of those impressions and experiences as remarkable as possible. I enjoy getting to work collaboratively with our clients to help ensure their projects are seamless and successful. Ultimately, I just love being able to create exceptional digital products for companies and their end users.”
Administrative Assistant Lisa Geske, formally an administrative coordinator for a local consulting firm, joined C2 in February 2018:
“When I first started with The C2 Group, I was astounded by the schedule flexibility. It was important that I could create a part-time schedule that allowed me to pick up my kids from school. It’s so much more than just that, though. One of my favorite things about The C2 Group is the impact we have on the local community. Something unique that we do include service partnerships with local organizations that include hands-on volunteering as well as pro bono consulting. This gives these groups an extra set of hands on the ground and access to digital skills and resources they may not have otherwise had. Our team works for the community, but our team also is a community. Overall, I feel at home and part of the team here. Everyone here is genuine and truthful – it’s a welcoming environment that I’m proud to come to every day.”
