Improvements to Content Delivery API

Fixed in: EPiServer.ContentDeliveryApi 2.9.0 [ID: HAPI-10]

Episerver has updated the Content Delivery API making it more efficient in pulling product information from the Commerce catalog. The API now renders the commerce content with Vue and React in a JSON format. This update simplifies and improves a developer’s ability to get product information faster.

More options for Content Delivery API

Fixed in: EPiServer.ContentDeliveryApi 2.9.0 [ID: HAPI-534]

Episerver added several options for its Content Delivery API. Developers now have more control to specify how they receive a JSON response and what can be returned within it. The API includes local blocks as well. If a developer makes a JSON request that includes a local block, its content will be available within the JSON response.

Create segments in Episerver Insight UI

Fixed in: EPiServer.Profiles.Client 1.13.0  [ID: PROF-5330]

Episerver Insight received a functional enhancement that enables marketers to create segments based on filter definitions and historical data. Insight is Episerver’s personalization product that offers the ability to create visitor profiles and segments based on visitor website behavior. As the customer journey continues to get more complex, Insight captures actionable visitor information to be used for omnichannel marketing and relevant campaigns. In order to access these features, Insight does require a specific installation and license. Learn more about Insight here.

New CSR Order Management features: process payment transactions and view payment plans

Episerver Commerce continues to release new features for its Order Management menu within the Customer Service Representative (CSR) UI. This month, Epi added the ability for CSRs to process customer payments directly from the order management screen. Additionally, CSRs have access to view payment plans for a specific order. This further expands CSR abilities to assist every aspect of a customer order within a single interface. At this time, these features are only available to Episerver customers enrolled in its Beta Program. If you’re interested in taking advantage of these features, contact The C2 Group here or talk to your project manager during your next status call.
