Solution

Chefs and C2 partnered to create a customer- and employee-focused digital experience on Optimizely. With deep experience serving multi-brand, growth-through-acquisition companies, C2 developed a best-in-class solution that reduces manual order processing by Chefs’ warehouse staff, enables marketing to develop an evolving brand, and drives customer engagement.

Beginning with Discovery, C2 was able to develop a comprehensive UX and technical strategy paired that enables better discoverability of products, intuitive ordering experiences, and the ability to engage in unique storytelling and marketing across all brands. Leveraging Optimizely’s Search & Navigation, Chefs web teams can promote specific categories, products, and content in real-time based on a customer’s search query.

Through the development of custom middleware integrations between Chefs ERPs and Optimizely site on Azure, customers receive near real-time pricing and availability for its catalog of products without affecting any one system’s performance to call or present product information. Executed through a phased, hybrid-agile approach, Chefs has been able to progressively up-scale system integrations, technical stability, and overall complexity of its site while simultaneously enabling internal competency and adoption of Optimizely.
