Episerver's February 2020 release notes include functional enhancements to the Content Delivery and Forms Service APIs in addition to UI updates to Visitor Intelligence, formerly Episerver Insight.

Development

Episerver’s continuous release cycle provides new features and bug fixes on a bi-weekly cadence. Each month, C2 will aggregate and highlight some of the bigger updates to Epi software. To learn more, or if you have specific questions, you can contact The C2 Group, an Episerver Gold Partner, here.

Epi Content Delivery API supports search functionality.

Fixed in: EPiServer.ContentDeliveryApi 2.10.0 [ID: HAPI-421]

With this update, the Content Delivery API now can retrieve commerce content and deliver it to the user experience of your choosing. Calls to the API now return “Package Content”, “Product Content” “Variation Content”, and all items that inherit the Entry content Base class. Having access to these items allows you to display general product information such as variants, inventory, and pricing.

Performance boost for Epi Forms Service API.

Fixed in: EPiServer.Forms.ServiceApi 3.5.0 [ID: AFORM-2406]

Enhancements to Epi’s Forms Service API means that the data that is retrieved from forms submissions can be even more granular. The new endpoint gives access to language specifications, new sorting options, and setting the number of submissions to return. The update allows developers to more quickly retrieve the information they need in the order they need it.

Visitor Intelligence receives same interface updates as CMS and Commerce.

Fixed in: EPiServer.Profiles.Client 1.14.0 [ID: PROF-5397]

The Visitor Intelligence UI received a makeover, matching the recent interface updates to Episerver CMS and Commerce. Visitor Intelligence, formerly Episerver Insight, allows marketers to take visitor data, such as what content or products a user views, and create customer segments to use in omnichannel marketing campaigns. This product requires a specific installation and license, but if you’re interested in learning more or installing it onto your site, you can contact The C2 Group here.
